Subject: Brain Research Foundation's Scientific Innovations Award
Dear Drs. Nowakowski and Charness,
Would you mind sending on the following funding alert to any faculty members you think might be interested, please?

Dear FSU researchers,
FSU has been invited to nominate one senior faculty member to submit a Letter of Intent for the Brain Research Foundation's (BRF's) Scientific Innovations Award (SIA)<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.thebrf.org%2Fscientific-innovations-award%2F&data=05%7C02%7Cisl%40lists.fsu.edu%7C4bf80dc41ba546863fe008dc6626fea3%7Ca36450ebdb0642a78d1b026719f701e3%7C0%7C0%7C638497564864654589%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=aGQaqkpltZIwx33Nl8ma%2BLpiZwh7SvJmEnxFJQklLKg%3D&reserved=0>.
The program offers a two-year $150,000 grant to support projects that may be too innovative and speculative for traditional funding sources but still have a high likelihood of producing important findings.
To be eligible, the nominee must be a full-time associate or full professor working in the area of neuroscience and brain function in health and disease. Current major NIH or other peer-reviewed funding is preferred but evidence of such funding in the past three years is essential.
If you would like to be considered for FSU's nomination, please submit a Notice of Interest to the FSU Limited Submissions portal<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.research.fsu.edu%2Flimitedsubmission&data=05%7C02%7Cisl%40lists.fsu.edu%7C4bf80dc41ba546863fe008dc6626fea3%7Ca36450ebdb0642a78d1b026719f701e3%7C0%7C0%7C638497564864654589%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=m5LldqX%2FDawBqUQUNPHZElE8K19LvXYodFEm%2FUTFq5A%3D&reserved=0> before Mon., May 6th at 5pm ET.
