The leaders from the Gerontological Society of America will be visiting our campus and will be starting their site visit with a presentation for students, faculty, and postdocs about professional organizations in aging and their role. This is a relatively short presentation but they are hoping for some engagement and informal discussion, and to learn more about FSU faculty, students, and postdocs who have interest in aging. As you may know, the GSA conference this year will be in Tampa and the GSA leaders will be visiting several Florida universities to learn about aging research occurring across our state. As you likely know, we have many GSA members at FSU, and an impressive number of GSA Fellows.
>
> The presentation will be offered in hybrid form – we have a relatively small conference room with zoom capabilities that can hold up to 15 people, but do hope we will have much more participation than 15! Please invite all students and postdocs with interest in attending to come in person (please ask them to email me at mtaylor3 at fsu.edu to indicate that they plan to attend the talk in person or zoom). We encourage faculty across campus to attend via zoom – those located in the Pepper building will be attending in person if space allows.

> Dear Students:
> The Gerontological Society of America is providing a short presentation on Wednesday morning, March 29 at 9 am. You are invited to come learn about the role of professional organizations in supporting your research career, particularly if you have any interests in aging-related topics. The presentation will be in person and via zoom, with students interested in being in person asked to come to the Pepper Center Building at 636 W. Call Street, room 206. Please email Dr. Miles Taylor (mtaylor3 at fsu.edu) if you would like to attend in person – there are only 15 available in person slots at this time. Please RSVP to ensure that we have sufficient breakfast and that there are spaces available. If you would like to attend via zoom instead, the address is https://urldefense.com/v3/__https://fsu.zoom.us/j/94778311547__;!!PhOWcWs!wjoHhB1GWhXleDIJ3gdESMthHi3EwGJOyG1WpmCuMBKu217MdO2f0lb9BtSND7eTSgSJtuVLiorN3A$ . We are excited for the GSA visitors to see what great students/postdocs we have here at FSU!
