Hi Neil!

Would you mind forwarding along the following notice of funding opportunity from the Brain Research Foundation to anyone whom you consider a good fit?

This opportunity is a Limited Submissions program permitting FSU to advance only one nomination. Because the deadline for the required letter of intent is so soon (next week-Thurs., June 23rd), the nomination slot will be given to the first eligible researcher to 'notify' my office of their interest in the program via the Limited Submissions portal: https://www.research.fsu.edu/limitedsubmission.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Grant Announcement

The objective of the program is to support projects that may be too innovative and speculative for traditional funding sources but still have a high likelihood of producing important findings. It is expected that investigations supported by these grants will yield high impact findings and result in major grant applications and funding as well as significant publications in high impact journals.

To be eligible, the nominee must be a full-time associate professor/full professor working in the area of neuroscience and brain function in health and disease. Current major NIH or other peer-reviewed funding is preferred but evidence of such funding in the past three years is essential. The grant period is for two years totaling $150,000. The support focus is for new research projects of the highest scientific merit.

The deadline to submit a Letter of Intent is Thursday, June 23, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. CT.
