[Isl] Aging and technology expert Jeff Kaye to give ISL Lecture Series talk December 15

Jeff Kaye, M.D., of Oregon Health & Science University and a national expert on aging, will give an Institute for Successful Longevity Lecture Series talk at 3:30 p.m. December 15 in the Broad Auditorium of the Claude Pepper Center.

Kaye’s ISL Lecture Series address will focus on “Building Evidence for Meaningful Use of Technology to Advance Ecologically Valid Research in Aging.”

His talk is co-sponsored by the Claude Pepper Center and the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy.

A reception will follow his address.

Earlier in the day, Kaye will join ISL researchers in a panel discussion on “Technology for Home Health Monitoring” at 10 a.m. in the Tallahassee Senior Center, 1400 N. Monroe St., near Lake Ella.

Joining Kaye in the panel discussion will be FSU researchers:

  *   Neil Charness, Ph.D., Distinguished Research Professor of Psychology and Director of the Institute for Successful Longevity.
  *   Miles Taylor, Ph.D., Professor of Sociology and Director of the Pepper Institute on Aging and Public Policy.
  *   Dawn Carr, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Sociology and Director of the Claude Pepper Center.
  *   Walter Boot, Ph.D., Professor of Psychology and Associate Director of the Institute for Successful Longevity.

The public is invited to both events.
