PCORI Identifies Special Areas of Emphasis for Broad Pragmatic Studies Funding Announcement
As part of its core mission to support patient-engaged and patient-centered comparative clinical effectiveness research, PCORI has identified the following four special areas of emphasis (SAEs) through its upcoming Broad Pragmatic Studies funding announcement:

  *   Addressing racism, discrimination, and bias in healthcare systems and care delivery
  *   Caregiver-delivered interventions for intellectual and developmental disabilities
  *   Optimizing prevention and treatment of postpartum hemorrhage
  *   Visual impairment in older adults

The purpose of calling out these SAEs is to encourage submissions to these areas, not to limit submissions to these topics.

This PCORI Funding Announcement will be released on September 7.

Today is the final day to submit your Science of Engagement PCORI Funding Announcement (PFA) Letter of Intent (LOI). Your submission must be received no later than 5 pm (ET).

This PFA aims to fund studies that build an evidence base on engagement in research, including:

Targeted PCORI Funding Announcement on Healthy Aging to Open September 7

By 2060, the number of Americans over the age of 65 is projected to reach around 95 million, making up almost a quarter of the US population. Currently, the healthcare system is not well-equipped to address the complex care needs of the rapidly growing and diverse older adult population in the United States.
