Dear Neil,

The unprecedented events surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic have brought to the forefront the need for more professionals that provide care and services to the aging population.

Careers in Aging Week (CIAW) is around the corner-April 18-24, 2021-and GSA, along with partner organizations, needs your help to raise awareness about the wide-ranging career opportunities in the field of aging.

Help Spread the Word!


  1.  Share your story. Share your knowledge of the field on social media and let people know what career in aging you have chosen and why. This will allow people to see the diverse career paths in the field of aging such as health care practitioner, education, research, operations management, dietary planning, and gerontology as well as more unexpected roles such as professionals in technology, design, programming, and communications.
  2.  Visit CareersInAging.com. Download GSA's toolkit which includes social media images and messaging, a zoom background, flyers, and other tools to help elevate your message.
  3.  Pass on resources. When you visit CareersInAging.com, you will find resources such as career tip sheets, online resources from our partner organizations and The Real Faces of Careers in Aging-a series of audio vignettes featuring interviews with professionals currently working in the field of aging.
  4.  Attend an event. The Erickson School of Aging Studies, one of our Careers in Aging Week partners, is hosting several virtual events throughout the week. Join their alumni and community partners to talk about the heroic and exciting work they have been doing in the field of aging.
