I don’t know if you remember me, but I was part of Dr. Cottler’s SARB2C group here at UF. I am contacting you in hopes that you can share this pilot grant opportunity with interested candidates. UF has an NIA-funded Resource Center for Minority Aging Research (RCMAR). Our Center is called the UF Center for Advancing Minority Pain and Aging Science (CAMPAS). The goal of CAMPAS is to support the research and career development of early stage investigators from underrepresented backgrounds who are conducting research related to pain, aging and disability. To that end, we are offering pilot grants to support research projects on pain, aging and disability. To be eligible for one of these pilot grants, the individual must be a postdoc or early stage faculty member (Assistant Professor or earlier) and must come from an underrepresented background as defined by NIH (https://grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-20-031.html<https://urldefense.com/v3/__https:/grants.nih.gov/grants/guide/notice-files/NOT-OD-20-031.html__;!!PhOWcWs!iV2x2zC4D1laQI2gI6_n05ZMiwUX3gTzr9psOoTRo7ouZbF7626_SlZqdnp9adea$>).



In the past, we have only supported candidates from UF, but we are now hoping to expand our support to candidates from other universities in the state, and Dr. Cottler recommended that I contact you to see if you might help disseminate this information at USF.
