This message has been approved by Shelley Lopez, Director, Communications/Training & Organizational Development, for distribution to all Department Representatives.
Please share this information with supervisors and managers of USPS employees.
The current USPS performance evaluation rating period will conclude on December 31, 2025. Beginning January 5, 2026, supervisors will be responsible for evaluating employee performance for the 2025 rating period. Evaluations provide meaningful feedback that helps align employee performance with departmental goals, fostering ongoing improvement and development. It is essential that evaluations are completed in a timely manner. In preparation for the 2025 performance evaluation cycle, please review the following deadlines:

  *   USPS employees who meet any of the following criteria on or after May 1, 2025, are not required to receive a performance evaluation. These employees will not have performance evaluations available in OMNI HR:
     *   Newly hired employees serving a probationary period.
     *   Employees who have been hired or transferred to a new USPS position.
     *   Employees who have been hired or promoted to an A&P position.
  *   USPS evaluations will be accessible in OMNI HR ePerformance starting Monday, January 5, 2026.
  *   All performance evaluation documents must be completed by March 1, 2026.
