Due to the recent lifting of the University's hiring freeze, the Office of Human Resources is experiencing an extremely high volume of requests related to Compensation and Employment actions. As departments resume standard hiring practices, we ask that you remain strategic by prioritizing requests and consider holding actions that are not critical for the successful start of the fall semester. To assist with efficiency in reviewing the submitted actions, please ensure all required information is included with the request. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this peak time. Below is a list of pending approvals in OMNI. Although the deadline for approvals is noon today (EST), we are providing advance notice of those still pending at approximately 11:30 a.m. so that they might be done by noon and your first Cost Center Report will be more accurate. Remember that unapproved time and leave entries will not appear on the Cost Center Report. Please note, the number in the "Pending Approvals" column reflects the number of entries that need approval, not separate employees. The data is intentionally conveyed in this manner, so you know how many time entry approvals require your attention. For example, if an employee reported 3 days of vacation, that employee's unapproved time will be counted 3 times so that you know how many entries you should be approving. This is especially helpful if the leave was taken over multiple workweeks. As you are aware, if each entry for an individual employee is not approved or corrected, the employee's pay will be affected. If you have any questions, please contact an Attendance & Leave representative. Thank you for your timely attention to this matter. As previously announced, the new Alternate Work Location Arrangement Pilot Program offers participating departments the opportunity to allow eligible, full-time employees to telework up to two days a week. To streamline the approval process at the department level, we have created an online Partial Telework Assessment and Request process. Additionally, we have created a guide to assist employees and managers in understanding and implementing an AWLA. Partial Telework Request Process We have created a streamlined process that makes submitting and reviewing Partial Telework Requests simple for employees and supervisors. The Partial Telework Request pulls eligibility information directly from OMNI. Additionally, employees will answer eligibility questions. Employees will not be able to move forward in the request process if the assessment details deem them ineligible. Once employees are eligible after the assessment, they may select their telework and on-site schedule before submitting for supervisor review. Supervisors may then review the information and determine whether to approve the request. We encourage the use of this online application, which will be housed on the HR AWLA website, to facilitate departmental telework approvals. FSU Guide to Alternate Work Location Agreements Training The FSU Guide to Alternate Work Location Arrangements Training provides an overview of the AWLA Pilot Program, as well as suggestions for setting up a home office environment and additional guidance for supervisors. This training is a helpful resource, and we strongly encourage all participating departments to take it. Upcoming Hybrid Model Zoom As a reminder, Human Resources will be hosting an open Zoom meeting to discuss best practices and strategies for managing a hybrid workforce. Dr. Daniel Van Durme, chair of the FSU Medical Advisory Committee, will also provide an update on the University's COVID-19 response. Please join us to learn more about hybrid model best practices and hear the latest University COVID-19 updates. The noon deadline for approvals has passed, and there are still unapproved time/leave entries that require approval or correction before payroll processing is completed this pay period. Please check the list below for pending approvals for your department. Remember that the unapproved entries below and any corrections you make to these entries today will not appear on today's Cost Center Report. Be sure to continue checking today and again throughout Monday morning for pending approvals due to corrections and data changes that are processed. If you have any questions, please contact an Attendance & Leave representative. Thank you for your timely attention to this matter. COST CENTER REPORT - PAY PERIOD 'B' The first version of the Cost Center Report for Payroll 'B' (pay period ending 7/22/21) is now available. The Cost Center Report is located under the "Dashboard" dropdown button, under HR/Payroll Reports in myFSU BI. Please use this Cost Center Report to verify paycheck data. If you find incorrect paycheck data, verify that the time entry is correct. Corrections made to time and leave entries before the Second Cost Center Report do not require a case but must be fully approved to generate payable time. If the compensation rate is incorrect or an employee whose appointment documents met deadline is not on the Cost Center, report the problem immediately in a myFSU Service Center case. The deadline for submitting myFSU Service Center cases is 10:30 a.m. (EST) on Monday, July 26, 2021. Cases submitted after 10:30 a.m. on Monday will not be worked before the payroll calculation is completed, and the employee may be paid incorrectly. Do not wait until Monday to begin checking Cost Center data. You may reference the job aid for the myFSU BI Cost Center Report. The department charge report can be reviewed through myFSU BI using the HR GL Detail report. If you have any questions, please contact an Attendance & Leave representative. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... In a previous communication, we shared the Partial Telework Request Process and the FSU Guide to Alternate Work Location Arrangements Training. The Office of Human Resources is pleased to release our most recent training to assist managers with leading a hybrid workforce. The Guide to Establishing a Hybrid Workplace for Managers Training lays the groundwork for understanding the hybrid model. The training also provides guidance on maintaining fairness and managing performance in a hybrid environment. We strongly encourage managers in participating departments to take this training. All AWLA and hybrid work resources can be found at the Alternate Work Location Arrangement Pilot Program website. Questions? For questions about training, please contact Tamara Fitzpatrick at tlfitzpatrick at fsu.edu. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
