An important message from FSU Office of Human Resources

This message has been approved by Shelley Lopez, Program Director, Communications/Special Projects, for distribution to all Department Representatives.
FSU Human Resources is excited to announce the launch of a new courtesy appointment electronic process and added features! These changes will greatly improve coordination and communication between departments, candidates, and HR.

Courtesy Appointment Electronic Processing
The campus-wide rollout of an electronic courtesy appointment process, including onboarding, is live and ready for use. The framework of this process mirrors the OPS Express and will streamline the completion of courtesy appointments and other pre-employment requirements. Many manual processes and paper forms will be eliminated due to the ability to load supplemental documents in Smart Onboarding.

Courtesy Electronic Personnel Action Form (ePAF) Submission
Additionally, another new feature, Courtesy ePAF submission, begins October 23, 2019. Departments will be able to terminate, update, and transfer active courtesy appointments via ePAF submission in OMNI. Please note the addition of another ePAF transaction type in OMNI called "Courtesy Appointment". The transaction options now appear as a dropdown list instead of radio buttons. This will affect the view on this page for all ePAFs but not functionality.
