[Hpc-notice] May maintenance delayed until August and VPN update

Hi RCC Campus Partners,

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the hardware maintenance that was previously scheduled for May 4 - 8 is postponed until at-least August. We have not determined specific dates yet, but we are targeting a one-week period sometime in-between the Summer and Fall semesters (August 3 - 21).


We came to this decision after considering a number of factors. The main reason is that it is not safe for our vendors to travel to Tallahassee, and we need to limit the number of people in the data center at the same time.


We will let you know as soon as we have determined new dates. For now, the scope and amount of time any single service will be down have not changed; we don't expect any part of the maintenance to take more than a few days at a time.


Also, continue to refer to the ITS Service Status page<https://status.its.fsu.edu> for update on the VPN status. It is working, but intermittently. If you cannot get connected after several attempts, send us a support request at support at rcc.fsu.edu.
