The IRB project team is reviewing the software and providing input for designing the module in order to meet the needs of the IRB community. A significant component of this implementation includes the adaptation of the Human Research Protection Program (HRPP) Toolkit, which contains streamlined protocol templates for drafting compliance documents. The HRPP Toolkit will launch prior to the system go-live in June. FSU is fully engaged and ready to take advantage of the many benefits offered in the RAMP IRB module. Features and functionality provided in this module include: ? Electronic development, review and submission of human subjects protocols ? E-mail notifications to prompt PIs for action items and notifications of protocol determination ? Assignment of proxies by PIs to draft and submit protocols in the system ? Increased transparency for PIs as protocol status can be viewed in real-time, anywhere ? Overall efficiencies embedded in the streamlined workflow process ? Ability to easily view the latest approved version of the protocol - any changes tracked throughout the amendment process Researchers and administrators will have an opportunity to test drive the new system and provide valuable feedback. To aid in the transition to RAMP, protocol development workshops will be offered. More information will be shared with the IRB community as we reach these milestones. For project details and timeline, please visit https://ramp.research.fsu.edu. The toolkit will provide comprehensive, detailed forms and other documents to help research teams develop and submit compliant protocols to the IRB. These tools will be utilized with our current electronic HSRS system to aid in the transition to the new RAMP IRB system, which will go-live in late June. The toolkit forms, protocol template, and consent template are now available for review and use on our website, in the following location: https://www.research.fsu.edu/research-offices/human-subjects/templates-and-required-forms/ Beginning April 20th, 2019, a formal research protocol document utilizing the toolkit template will be required for all new protocols submitted to the IRB. This formal protocol will replace a majority of the current application in the HSRS system. To assist and support you in this transition, the Human Subjects Office will be offering a series of protocol writing workshops. All members of research teams are invited to attend. Sessions are outlined below: * Tuesday, March 26th, 2019 | 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, Psychology Building, Room A211 * Thursday, March 28th, 2019 | 2:00 PM - 4:30 PM, Innovation Park, 2000 Levy Avenue, Building A, Conference Room 120 * Wednesday, April 3rd, 2019 | 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM, Innovation Park, 2000 Levy Avenue, Building A, Conference Room 120 * Friday, April 5th, 2019 | 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM, William Johnston Building (WJB), Academic Center for Excellence (ACE) Learning Studio, Room G60 Please RSVP to your workshop of choice at humansubjects at fsu.edu to secure your spot!
