Dear FLA Friends,

 

It is with heavy hearts we share that our beloved colleague at the Division of Library and Information Services, Sandy Newell, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday. This loss will be felt by many across the state and we know you join us in offering our condolences to Sandy's family, friends and co-workers with the Division.

We will miss her tireless passion and dedication to libraries, as well as her signature style of colorful feathers adorning her hair...always brightening a room when she walked in.

Understandably, Division staff will need time to process this news and plan to honor their friend in the coming days and weeks ahead.
