Many thanks for everyone’s feedback, both to the list and directly to me. I think we have a consensus that we want to support the PLAN Conference and provide a sponsorship.

After reviewing our budget with Suzette, I think it may be wise to start conservatively this year. If we provide the $250 sponsorship level, we can still contribute and possibly build on the sponsorship amount in future after we reconcile how well we do with the FACRL Annual conference sponsorships.

We need to make a decision quickly, with the PLAN Conference less than two months away, so we need to make a motion and vote before the next Board meeting. I have spoken with Guy and Jaime about setting up a Board-only poll in order to vote on a motion in this instance over e-mail.

Does anyone have any further discussion before we make a motion to consider a $250 PLAN Conference sponsorship?

We are pleased to announce the inaugural Panhandle Academic Libraries Conference. This conference is the first conference specifically organized for academic libraries in our region. We are pleased to have PLAN (Panhandle Library Access Network) as our organizational partner. The conference will take place on July 12, 2019 at the FLVC offices in Tallahassee. This daylong event will bring together between 60 - 80 academic library professionals to learn form and network with each other.
