Good Morning,

Thank you all for your feedback and to Becky for crafting the script. If we’re in agreement, Jaime and I would like to send this out to members by Monday.

Dear FACRL members:

The board has investigated transitioning our organization from 501c6 to 501c3 status.  While both statuses are tax-exempt, 501c3 status would allow us to provide individual donors with a tax deduction and allow us to accept foundation grants.  It also requires us to disburse any tax deductible revenue in the form of charitable donations, such as scholarships.

We are ready to move forward with the necessary filing, but before we do so, we need to poll our membership to confirm that this is the will of the majority of our members.  Please go to the poll at (address) and indicate your vote by November 15.
