Hi all! Here at FGCU we have a center for faculty that promotes best teaching practices (https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__www2.fgcu.edu_LucasCenter_&d=DwIFAg&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=ErNLMQvDS5BZrIZeelL-Nylx-JsCfC_BTnGrpOVKn70&m=iHKbG-wCcMMesUX_Z-7Nby0N0RU97qRQ2KWRugstPO4&s=UtwA1bNbRPUCxgPZegyWbCnHtApqJN5Rej9M8ilr7DM&e= ), and its director, Bill Reynolds, happens to have a sister who is on the teaching faculty of the Rutgers School of Library & Information Science. She's a co-editor of a new journal, see below. I'd like to approach her about doing a keynote address for the fall meeting. As Bill says, her fee would be low cost because she can stay with him :). Your thoughts?
Becky

Hi Barbara,
I thought you and many of the librarians might be interested in the launch of this journal --https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=http-3A__www.emeraldgrouppublishing.com_about_news_story.htm-3Fid-3D7737&d=DwIFAg&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=ErNLMQvDS5BZrIZeelL-Nylx-JsCfC_BTnGrpOVKn70&m=iHKbG-wCcMMesUX_Z-7Nby0N0RU97qRQ2KWRugstPO4&s=0QwuLTz3GTByw8SoHNe7X51uFf2z6uZzlau6aQYif-I&e=.
It used to be a library journal, but my sister and a colleague have taken over co-editing responsibility and have turned the focus in an interdisciplinary direction. I guess this nexus between information and learning is where librarians live, so I assume the content they publish will still be relevant in your world. If you ever want to bring Rebecca to campus to discuss her work it will be a low cost event. I'll cover room and board.
Talk to you soon,
Bill
