This training will engage participants in approaches and techniques for teaching, communicating, and advocating for the various aspects of Open Science.


This training is designed for academic librarians, though others are welcome to participate. All levels of experience are welcome, however some general knowledge of scholarly communications, research data management, or academic publishing is expected for participants.


This program is offered as a two-day in-person event at various locations across the country, as well as an online format spread over 1-2 weeks. Registration for the Open Science Primer is free and registration for the in-person sessions includes lunch and refreshments.


Travel stipends are also available to those needing financial assistance to attend in person.
