Librarian I, Reference and Instruction - 997879

Nova Southeastern University's Alvin Sherman Library in sunny Fort Lauderdale, Florida now has a full-time librarian position open. This is an entry-level position, perfect for a new or early-career librarian! The hiring salary is $48,200.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide professional reference service and library instruction to all NSU-affiliated library users, both local and distance, and Broward County users in person, by phone, and online. This job requires working some evenings and weekends.

Required experience:

1.      Master's degree in Library Science from an ALA-accredited school.

2.      Knowledge and understanding of library principles, practices, and techniques.

3.      Current computer skills, including online searching.

4.      Ability to express ideas effectively, both orally and in writing.
