The University of West Florida invites applications from highly-motivated
and detail-oriented individuals to serve as the Program Manager (position
#107100) for the Professional Studies Library. This position reports to the
Head of the Professional Studies Library.

*Job Duties*

The Program Manager is the Professional Studies Library Manager. This
position is responsible for multifaceted, administrative library work that
requires managerial skills in support of the day-to-day operations of the
department. The supervisor is responsible for coordinating the circulation
functions with the two other university libraries; planning short and long
term goals for the department; making recommendations to and assisting the
Head of the Professional Studies Library with policy and procedure
development; supervising, training and evaluating student assistants and
graduate assistants; troubleshooting and providing support in dealing with
circulation and patron issues; compiling and computing monthly departmental
statistics; apprising the Head of the Professional Studies Library of any
foreseeable problems and presenting possible courses of action.

Processes and labels non-traditional materials such as realia,
manipulatives, and course reserves, coordinates with TS when appropriate.
Trains staff on various technology functions performed in different
software packages (i.e., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe), integrated library
systems (Alma, Primo), Banner, and Report Navigator.

*Qualifications*

A bachelor’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization and two years
of appropriate experience; or high school diploma and six years of
appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework or
vocational/technical training may substitute at an equivalent rate for the
required experience. Customer service skills; familiarity with Microsoft
Office application packages; Ability to communicate effectively, both
orally and verbally.

*Preferred Qualifications*

Demonstrated experience as a supervisor. Proven communication and
interpersonal skills. Library-related experience or experience as an office
manager/administrator. Knowledge of library policies and procedures. A
working knowledge of library databases and search skills.

*Environment*

The University of West Florida Libraries have 12 library faculty and 24
support staff in three facilities - the John C. Pace Library and
Professional Studies Library on the Pensacola main campus and a branch
library on the Emerald Coast Campus in Fort Walton Beach. UWF is one of
