|   Call for Nominations to the FACRL Board  The FACRL Board is seeking nominations from the membership for five positions that will become available in 2021:    
   - President-Elect (Term: 2021-2024) 
   - Communications Manager (Term: 2021-2023) 
   - Board Members at Large - 3 vacancies (Term: 2021– 2023)
 Position Descriptions: Please consult the FACRL Bylaws for specific descriptions of the expectations and responsibilities associated with the available Board positions. All terms begin and end at the adjournment of the annual Florida Library Association annual conference. 

Membership Requirements: Nominees for the office of President-elect must maintain active ACRL member status. Members of ACRL are automatically members of FACRL. All other nominees are encouraged to possess ACRL membership, but must at the minimum, maintain active FACRL membership status. Individuals who are not members of ACRL may join FACRL for $30 per year.

General Service Expectations: Monthly meetings of the Board are conducted via conference call. In addition, in typical years there are two in-person meetings, one held during the fall at the FACRL annual conference and the other in the Spring during the FLA annual conference. In addition, the Board may convene as needed to address urgent issues and Board representation at meetings of various FACRL subcommittees may also be required.  

Nominations are due by February 5, 2021. To submit nominations, please use our nomination form. Self-nominations are welcome. If nominating someone else, please seek their permission prior to submitting their name for consideration. If you wish to nominate more than one person for each position, please submit the survey again. 

I am happy to answer any questions that you may have and encourage you to consider deepening your involvement with FACRL by considering a leadership position in 2021!
