From Charlie Malcolm (MFA 17): “Happy to say I am working as an Assistant Editor at NBC Digital. It’s exciting to be working everyday on the studio lot! A special thanks to FSU Alum Eric Jaffe (BFA 13) who posted about the opening and forwarded my resume. During the interview I was able to meet the Vice President of NBC Entertainment, who said “Oh, another one from the FSU Mafia.” Hopefully many more to come in the future!”

Showtime<https://www.indiewire.com/t/showtime/> is finally shedding the secrecy behind “Who Is America?” — the new new satirical half-hour series from comedian Sacha Baron Cohen<https://www.indiewire.com/t/sacha-baron-cohen/>. Baron Cohen is the writer and director behind the new series, his first TV show in more than a decade. Todd Schulman (MFA 03) is an Executive Producer. Jim Lakin (BFA 01) provided production sound for the show. Read the IndieWire story at https://www.indiewire.com/2018/07/sacha-baron-cohen-who-is-america-showtime-first-look-1201982285/

Kelsey Scott was interviewed by "Write On" - the official podcast for Final Draft - talking about her screenwriting, acting, and her journey to being a hyphenate! Chip Chalmers, former Film School faculty, has moved back to Tallahassee after several years in LA. While he was in LA he was dealing with medical issues, chemo and radiation. He has just been through extensive testing and his doctors declare him cancer free! A wonderful thing,

From Chloe Lind (BFA 15). “I am producing a show at Feinstein’s 54 Below this Saturday night, July 14th at 11:30pm. “54 Sings Pop Hits of the 2000s” is a nostalgic celebration of the music of my generation’s tween/teen years. I’ve been working on this for the past few months, and would love to see some FSU faces in the audience! Use code POP3 at checkout to save $3 on your ticket. I’ll post the marketing blurb below, as well as the link. Did you dream of rocking out with Mitchie and Shane at Camp Rock? Did you practice strutting like you mean it like the Cheetah Girls? Or grow angry at a boyfriend you never had every time “Potential Breakup Song” came on the radio? If you answered yes to any of these, you NEED to be at 54 Sings Pop Hits of the 2000s! Your favorite broadway stars are ready to Pump Up The Party and sing their favorite songs from your favorite teeny bopper Radio Disney Supernova Girls (and boys)! https://54below.com/events/54-sings-pop-hits-of-the-2000s/<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__54below.com_events_54-2Dsings-2Dpop-2Dhits-2Dof-2Dthe-2D2000s_&d=DwMFaQ&c=HPMtquzZjKY31rtkyGRFnQ&r=XK14IrgIaB-M4DhdHvEVmw&m=kcy1jCxR6pIjpwV1V75bUezq41Wuzhv4E1kzyWLWFmc&s=R8PR3pdtkMecouyprDzBYVOS9WR6pwXhDW92m_OXAlw&e=>”

Ant Man and the Wasp is making a wonderful showing in the theatres. Imagine Entertainment has opened the application process for Imagine Impact, the global content accelerator program that was launched by Brian Grazer and Ron Howard during Cannes<https://deadline.com/2018/05/brian-grazer-ron-howard-launch-global-content-accelerator-imagine-impact-cannes-solo-a-star-wars-story-1202391217/>. The pilot program, Impact 1, will run September 10 – November 2, 2018. The application window is now open and will stay that way for the next two weeks, July 9 -22. Creators interested in applying will do so through an online application on their website: www.Imagine-Impact.com<https://www.imagine-impact.com/>. The expectation is that 20 Creators will be selected for Impact 1. It might be the closest thing Hollywood has offered in some time to the golden ticket from Willy Wonka. Imagine Impact is an eight-week creative boot camp that will discover new voices and empower content creators and narrative storytellers from around the world. By the end of the eight weeks, selected Creators will have developed a saleable screenplay, teleplay or presentation to pitch around town. Participants will be paid a stipend, and Imagine gets first look at the results which are owned by the participants.
