They all worked on a film that’s playing there (Nikki’s D2 “Iris”), and are planning on meeting up with one alum (last year’s graduate Allison Izzo (MFA 16) , whose thesis is screening). They would love to meet other alums at Comic Con, If you could meet them, contact Layne at mli15b at my.fsu.edu<mailto:mli15b at my.fsu.edu> | (918) 520-9348.

From Spencer Frankeberger (MFA 15) “First, I am currently in the graduate level of improv at iO West, one of the improv training centers in LA, and I am in the midst of a run of class shows. They're free, every Saturday at 8pm, thru Saturday, August 12th. My class and I improvise an entire form for the audience, and it's a different show each week. Would love to see some FSU alums come and support--oh, and the theatre has a bar as well! And with that said, I have recently accepted a marketing work-study position and will officially begin training at The Second City, another improv school, next month, and will be getting free classes in exchange! Secondly, I just wanted to spread that word that my mother, Margarita Frankeberger, was chosen as the 2017 Max Carraway Employee of the Year, and I'm so proud of my mom for supporting me from across the country, but for supporting all of the students and staff she interacts with on a daily basis: http://news.fsu.edu/news/university-news/2017/06/16/frankeberger-selected-2017-carraway-employee-year/

From Rachel Shirley (BFA 15) “Since November or last year, I have been working with Connie Davis from the YouTube channel "We Are The Davises" to edit daily videos and thumbnails to create a new "edgy" tone for their family videos. They decided to move from Jacksonville, FL to California to be closer to the YouTube community and they invited me to come with them! We're almost at a million subscribers and she's beginning to feature me in a couple of her vlogs! Check us out at youtube.com/wearethedavises<http://youtube.com/wearethedavises>

Another update, if anyone in the St. Augustine, FL area is looking for work, Crocodile Crossing at the St. Augustine Alligator Farm is looking for a photographer (possibly a manager position) for their zip line and ropes course. I had a ton of fun working there and met all sorts of furry, scaly, feathered friends while running the photo department. You will also have the option to be trained as a safety operator for the ropes course which is a lot of fun! Send your resume to Scott Brown at Zipmanager at alligatorfarm.com<mailto:Zipmanager at alligatorfarm.com> or stop by in person with your resume in hand. “

Wendy Mericle (MFA 99) continues to serve as executive producer on 'Arrow' Now, with a sixth season in the pipeline, 'Arrow' will be going through some of its biggest changes so far, with showrunners (mostly) doing away with flashbacks and bringing a new dynamic to the small screen. “We're the BFA Class of 2018 and we're about to embark on production for our thesis films. Though the college financially supports our productions, we are looking to raise funds to help give our films the final push they need to reach their full potential. This is where YOU come in! Your donations will help us pay for the abundant number of production costs: craft services, paying actors, equipment rentals, production design, costumes, makeup, special effects, digital models, and original scores. Any amount will help, whether it’s big or small. We've launched a Spark campaign and it ends on July 30! Help us achieve our dreams and make the best thesis films we can by donating: spark.fsu.edu/Project/329 or follow us on Facebook as we introduce a student filmmaker a day https://m.facebook.com/FSUBFAThesis18/ Thank you so much for your help!”

The Warren Report comes to you today from beautiful St. George Island where we are spending the week with all our kids and grandkids, Gail’s sisters and their families—18 of us in two houses. Today is especially beautiful, bright, sunny, and the Gulf is calm – very hard to sit on the balcony watching the others play on the beach and in the water while I finish up the Warren Report!
