Congratulations to Allison Troxell (BFA 93) and Lee Carlisle (MFA 09), who successfully completed the Boston Marathon this week!

From Don Guarisco (BFA 96) “A pitch video that Neil Butler (BFA 95) and I made for one of our screenplays has made it into the Top Ten of the Reel Fear contest sponsored by Project Greenlight. You can check it out by clicking here: https://www.projectgreenlight.com/contests/reel-fear-horror-contest/nominees/black-eyed-kids The ultimate prize in the contest is to make a film with a $300,000 budget and horror legend Clive Barker as your mentor... but to get to the next phase, we need your vote. If you'd be so kind, please click on that link and log in with Facebook. If you like what you see, please vote for us and share the video on your Facebook page (there's an option to do so at the bottom of the video page). Even better, the voting phase of this contest will continue through April 25th - and you can vote for us once a day during that time if you are so inclined. Neil and I hope you like what you see and we'd be honored to have your support.”

From Lee Carlisle (MFA 09) “I wrote my first episode of network TV for NCIS: Los Angeles and it will be airing soon - next Sunday 4/30 @ 8:00 on CBS. It's the second half of a two-parter, the first of which was written by fellow FSU alum Andrew Bartels (MFA 08) . It's my third year with the show and I'm very glad that I got to tackle my first script with such a talented and supportive group!

TIME has named Barry Jenkins (BFA 03) one of the 100 Most Influential People!
