[FCLCA] Tutoring during coronavirus shut down

Hello Everyone,

At UT, we are using Zoom.  Our peer support services, which includes tutoring, are listed with availability on EAB-Navigate.  The services will be appointment-only, with 1 student at a time.  We are requiring our peer leaders to record their Zoom meetings for coaching and tutoring, which will then be saved in a share folder specifically for videos (I cannot recall the name of the software).

At INTO University of South Florida (the international student Pathway and Academic English programs) we are using Microsoft Teams. If you haven't used this before, it's a robust program with a variety of ways to interact with students and is relatively user friendly. The university uses Office 365 for faculty, staff, and now students, and this is part of the suite. We're piloting this week and have so far had great results.

Valencia College will also be taking all tutoring, etc. online with no f2f at this time. What platforms is everyone looking at for this endeavor?

Hi everyone, as with the other state universities, we are going to fully online instruction. We have a plan to put all of our tutoring online. However, our Provost just shared that we are allowed to provide very limited in person tutoring and advising as there will still be some students on campus. Are any of your institutions going to be providing any in person services during this time? If so, what are the things you are doing and at what level are you providing that support?
