The SQL workshop provides an introduction to relational databases and SQL. Topics covered:

  *   Basics of relational databases, including what a Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) is
  *   How to model a simple database, including the significance of keys and unique values in structuring tables
  *   Best practices, including avoiding composite keys, using consistent table naming conventions, and implementing arbitrary identifiers (surrogate keys)
  *   Introduction to SQL statements and simple table joins
  *   How to continue learning about the concepts after the workshop
