Hi all,
A quick reminder -- today is the last day to apply for graduation for Spring 2022, so if you're planning to graduate this semester and haven't yet applied, scroll to the bottom of this message for the instructions.
The Department of Classics is currently seeking to hire a new professor of Greek poetry, and we'll be (Zoom) hosting four candidates over the next few weeks. You're all invited to attend their teaching demonstrations and then (if you wish) provide feedback on the experience.
The first demonstration will be Michele Asuni, who is currently completing his PhD at Johns Hopkins University (2022). He will be teaching a sample Greek mythology class (probable topics either Eros or Medea) Tuesday, 2/1, 3:00-4:00 pm: https://fsu.zoom.us/j/91639899140
The second demonstration will be Dr. Alyson Melzer, who received her PhD from Stanford (2020). She will also be teaching a sample mythology class, Friday 2/4, 2:00-3:00 pm. (If it's a different Zoom link, I'll send it when I have it).
You are all most welcome to attend any or all of the demos, and I'll send more information about the other two candidates' visits when I have it to share. Best wishes and have a lovely weekend,
Prof. Clark
