[Coe-undergrad] FSU Intramural Unified Basketball League - Coaches & Players Needed!!

FSU Campus Rec is offering a Unified Basketball League this semester!

Unified Sports joins people with and without intellectual disabilities on the same team to promote social inclusion. IM's has brought Unified Sports to our campus to bring together college students and Special Olympics Athletes.

If you are interested in participating as a partner (participant without an intellectual disability), coach (participant with an intellectual disability) or coach, please come to FSU’s Tully Gym (139 Chieftain Way) on January 21st at 5:45pm ready to play. You can park in any of the parking lots on campus. Anyone who has ever played before or anyone who wants to learn to play is encouraged to come out. There is no cost or equipment needed aside from sneakers. You must be 18 or older to participate. If you can’t make the first or second date, but want to participate, contact Melanie Dammel (mcd16 at my.fsu.edu<mailto:mcd16 at my.fsu.edu>) as soon as you can. Here is a schedule for the season.



  *   January 21st – 5:45pm – 7pm – Skills Assessment Day (all who are interested should attend)
  *   January 28th – 6 – 7pm – Practice
  *   February 4th – 6 – 7pm – Game 1
  *   February 11th – 6 – 7pm – Game 2
  *   February 18th – 6 – 7pm – Game 3
  *   Playoffs TBD but likely will be February 25th and March 1st from 6 – 7pm
