Florida State University
2020 President's Undergraduate Humanitarian of the Year Award

Currently enrolled undergraduate students who have made an outstanding contribution through public service during the last twelve months are eligible for the award. Candidates should meet the following criteria:

  * Service in any field such as aid to the hungry, homeless, or sick; protection of the environment; work for the elimination of prejudice and injustice; or efforts to help resolve community or national conflict.
  * Evidence of ability and initiative to translate ideals into practical results, such as the development of an innovative approach to address a social, governmental or legal problem.

Although outstanding service of any kind will qualify, nominees who have connected service with academic study, designed structures for the long-term support for the project, or linked service with the larger social context of the need through policy work, awareness-raising, etc. will be given special consideration.

Applications (found here<https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_7TFWWAmUCE5ApAp>) must be submitted to the College of Education Dean's Office by 11:59pm on February 3, 2020. If you have issues with the application, or questions, please contact Ashley Milton at a.milton at fsu.edu<mailto:a.milton at fsu.edu> or 850-644-1141.

One student will be selected as the College of Education Award winner and must attend the associated Awards Luncheon on March 24, 2020.
