We've moved up two spots in the overall rankings from No. 28 to No. 26, and one spot in the rankings among public institutions from No. 18 to No. 17. A number of the college?s individual programs were also ranked highly this year among public universities, including higher education (No. 13), special education (No. 16), education administration (No. 18) and curriculum and instruction (No. 23). Root said special ed teachers across the nation have been limited by staffing shortages that have left them without a full array of resources to help students, such as speech pathologists, occupational therapists, behavioral therapist, doctors and teaching assistants. The city has hosted the Final Four on five previous occasions, as well as seven previous NFL Super Bowls, and has a high-end tourist industry and infrastructure. The challenges this year are likely to be those related to COVID-19 and its management. This is the first 'normal' Final Four in several years, as the 2020 Final Four in Atlanta was canceled due to COVID-19, and the 2021 Final Four in Indianapolis had severe attendance restrictions." "We ultimately want teachers to help students use what is learned within the classroom as a tool for creating positive change in society." ? Mathis and Sherry Southerland, from Florida State University and another co-author, said students bring a wealth of resources into classrooms that can be fruitful for teachers to use toward helping them achieve productive learning. I chose FSU because my family is full of passionate Noles fans! I knew I wanted to become a teacher, so the impressive education program at FSU made my choice easy. I love the campus community and the shared pride we all have for our amazing university. My favorite part about the College of Education is the position I hold as Senate Seat 2 for the college. I was elected by my peers to represent my college in senate meetings at FSU. I love listening to ideas from my classmates on legislative points I could push during meetings to make our college a better place for everyone that continues to work for its students! After I graduate, I plan on moving back to central Florida to begin my teaching career at a public school where I will hopefully teach 4th grade. Eventually, I hope to be able to teach at a private school! Have news to share? ?We'd love to hear from you!
