Happy Trees: Painting Party at Strozier
Thursday, March 5
5:00 - 7:00 PM
Strozier Library, Room 005A, Scholars Commons Instruction Room

Rob Boss, Bob Ross' evil cousin and lifetime rival, stole all of the happy trees and hid them around Strozier and Dirac Library. Rob's jealousy for Bob's popularity reached an all time high at last semester's Happy Trees: Painting Party at Strozier. Seeing all of the students relaxed and painting along to his cousin's pleasant videos outraged him! He hoped in hiding all the trees Bob would be unable to host another painting party...

But it's not too late! Bob has sent out his faithful fans (that's you!) to hunt for happy trees and bring back the joy of painting. If you find a happy tree around the libraries or campus, bring it to either event to enter for the chance to win a fun prize! One winner will be selected after the events and contacted via email to pick up their prize.

Can't find a tree? That's fine too! You can still attend the event and paint along with Bob Ross and friends to de-stress during midterms! Supplies and snacks provided just bring your imagination and positive vibes.

For questions about the happy trees or painting event, reach out to lib-engagement at fsu.edu.

The next Relevant Research Roundtable (R3) takes place on Monday, March 9 in G152 at 10 AM. The talk, "Learning Science: The Importance of Intervention Research," will be given by guest speaker Dr. Barbara Schneider, the John A. Hannah University Distinguished Professor from Michigan State University. Barbara Schneider is the John A. Hannah University Distinguished Professor in the College of Education and the Department of Sociology. She uses a sociological lens to understand societal conditions and interpersonal interactions that create norms and values for enhancing human and social capital. Her research focuses on how the social contexts of schools and families influence the academic and social well-being of adolescents as they move into adulthood. In her career, Schneider has also played a significant role in the development of research methods for the real- time measurement of learning experiences.
