Monday, January 13:

  *   First day to apply for financial aid deferments and delayed delivery loans.
  *   Financial Aid available from fifth day disbursement of state aid via EFT. Please note that deposit processing time varies by bank and some banks might take an extra business day or two to make your direct deposit available to you.
Wednesday, January 15: Open enrollment for Spring-Summer Health Insurance ends.

Friday, January 17: Last day to pay or defer tuition and fees for all students, including veterans who are not using a veteran deferment, without a $100.00 late payment fee. Veterans should contact a VA representative with questions.

Monday, January 20: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day. No Classes. University Administrative Offices closed.

Food Recovery Network Volunteer All Call & Food Safety Training

The Food Recovery Network at FSU is a student led service organization that works to reduce food waste on campus and fight food insecurity in our community. We gather food that would otherwise go to waste on campus and donate to those in need. Come to our Volunteer All Call on January 15th at 6PM in Mendenhall A 101 to learn how to volunteer with us while making an impact in the community!

FSU Museum of Fine Arts-Rising Water Exhibition

Rising Water features works by Richard Misrach, Willie Birch, and Chandra McCormick and Keith Calhoun from Louisiana, Trenton Doyle Hancock and Sarah Welch from Texas, Aspen Mays from South Carolina, and Frances Gallardo from Puerto Rico. Reflecting the lived experiences of persons of color, the economically disadvantaged, and the newly displaced in areas affect by Hurricanes Florence, Harvey, Katrina, Maria, and Michael, the exhibition showcases artistic responses centering creativity and empathy as tools for navigating an increasingly storm-impacted future. There will be an evening reception on Thursday, January 16 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Admission is always FREE!

When a mysterious egg appears in their midst, the insects are awestruck and intensely curious about this iconic object that represents the enigma and cycles of their lives. It is love at first sight when a gawky, quirky insect arrives in this bustling community and a fabulous ladybug catches his eye - and the feeling is mutual

Lauren Bagdy (Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies Ph.D. candidate) was recently selected by the Program for Instructional Excellence at FSU to receive the 2019-2020 John F. Liseno Program for Instructional Excellence Graduate Award. The award recognizes outstanding graduate students and offers them an opportunity to share their research.
