I hope you had a safe and relaxing fall break.
Please see below for some important information for the remainder of the fall 2020 semester and for spring 2021. I’ve also attached the fall 2020 and spring 2021 dates and deadlines and the current 2021 Manuscript Clearance deadlines from The Graduate School.

FALL 2020
December 4, 2020 - Last Day of Classes
* Deadline for submission of all fall 2020 Comprehensive Exam/Portfolio results (Masters/Specialist students), Diagnostic Exam Results and Doctoral Preliminary Exam results to OASIS.
* Deadline for submission of fall 2020 Graduate Certificate Admission<https://education.fsu.edu/degrees-and-programs/certificate-programs> online forms. (Departments must first review submissions. Please allow extra time for this approval.)
* Deadline for fall 2020 admitted Educator Preparation graduate program students to submit the appropriate online Educator Preparation Application<https://education.fsu.edu/student-resources/student-academic-services-oasis/for-graduate-students> and all official passing FTCE GK exam<http://www.fl.nesinc.com/> scores to Florida State University.
December 11, 2020 – Semester Ends
* Last day for Prospectus approval during the Fall semester in order to graduate in Spring 2021. Prospectus must be approved by the academic dean at least four (4) months prior to Dissertation Defense. Note: This date is approximately four (4) months from The Graduate School’s tentative Spring 2021 manuscript clearance deadline.
* Last day for thesis and dissertation and students graduating this semester to receive an email from Manuscript Clearance confirming final clearance.
* Submission of fall 2020 Graduate Certificate Completion<https://education.fsu.edu/degrees-and-programs/certificate-programs> online forms to OASIS begins. (Departments must first review submissions. Please allow extra time for this approval.)

Spring 2021 Registration
Enrollment windows for currently enrolled and readmitted degree-seeking students are located at https://registrar.fsu.edu/registration_guide/spring/enrollment_appointments/. Spring 2021 registration closes on Friday, December 4.
Students are responsible for all coursework remaining on their schedules after the posted drop/add deadline. Late registration fees will not be waived.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
* Doctoral students who have completed the required coursework, passed the Preliminary Examination and submitted an Admission to Candidacy form to the Office of the Registrar, and continue to use campus facilities and/or receive faculty supervision, but have not been cleared by the Manuscript Clearance office shall include in the required full-time load a minimum of two credit hours of dissertation per semester, including Summer term, until completion of the degree. International students may have greater requirements (contact CGE for questions).
* Doctoral students, after completion of the preliminary exam and twenty-four credit hours of dissertation, must be enrolled for a minimum of three credit hours per semester (of which at least two must be dissertation hours) until completion of the degree.
* Thesis students and doctoral candidates are required to register for a minimum of two (2) semester hours of thesis or dissertation in the semester of degree conferral.
* All exams (comps, prelims, etc.) and thesis and dissertation defenses require registration – contact your department for details.
* Department-approved MS and EDS program of study forms are required to be submitted to OASIS by the end of the second semester after admission.
* Department-approved Doctoral program of study forms are required to be submitted to OASIS by the end of the third semester after admission.
Failure to complete requirements by the stated deadline may result in a registration hold.
