Dear  Dr. Guerette,

Registration is open for the annual Three-Minute Thesis Competition for doctoral students. Created by the University of Queensland, Australia, in 2008, the Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) has spread internationally. Doctoral students have three minutes, using only one slide, to describe their dissertation topics for a general audience. Both the first place winner ($1,000) and the second place winner ($750) will be selected by judges in the audience, while the 3MT People’s Choice winner ($500) will be selected by the audience. In a separate email today, we will send you the 3MT flier.

Registration will be open until October 7, 2019, with the Preliminary Rounds beginning October 21st. Preliminary Round winners will compete in the 3MT Finals November 19, 2019.
