Subject: FSU Congress of Graduate Students needs new representatives!

Graduate students,

The Congress of Graduate Students (COGS) is looking for new representatives! We have vacancies (some only temporary) in every college.  See the list below for more details.

COGS is the official representative body of graduate students at Florida State University.  The Congress provides graduate students with grants for conference travel, and funds programs and activities across campus that are targeted at graduate students.  Additionally, the Congress is a funding source for graduate student organizations.

The COGS website provides just about all of the information you'll need to learn about the responsibilities of representatives and how to apply for a vacant seat. Again, we have vacancies in every college:

Arts & Sciences: 2 vacancies
Business: 2 vacancies
Communication & Information: 2 vacancies
Criminology & Criminal Justice: 1 vacancy
Education: 2 vacancies and 2 additional temporary vacancies for this summer
Engineering: 1 vacancy
Human Science: 1 vacancy
Law: 3 temporary vacancies for this summer
Medicine: 1 vacancy and 1 additional temporary vacancy for this summer
Motion Picture, Television, & Recording Arts: 1 vacancy
Music: 1 vacancy and 1 additional temporary vacancy for this summer
Nursing: 1 vacancy
Social Sciences: 1 temporary vacancy for this summer
Social Work: 2 vacancies
Visual Arts, Theatre, & Dance: 1 vacancy
Panama City Campus: 1 vacancy

We also have advocacy seats which are open to any graduate student:
