I hope your semester is going well. Please see below for some important upcoming dates in the spring 2014 semester.
Feb. 14, 2014
Final payment for installment contracts due.
Feb. 17, 2014
Financial Aid Deferments Expire.
Feb. 21, 2014
End of seventh week of semester.
Last day to submit form requesting S/U grading or to change S/U option back to regular grade.
Last day to reduce course load without permission of academic dean. Dean’s permission required to drop below twelve semester hours.
Last day to drop a course without receiving a grade.
Last day to withdraw from school without receiving a grade.
Last day for doctoral students to take and pass their preliminary examination in order to add or convert dissertation hours for the current semester.
Last day to petition to reinstate class schedule cancelled for nonpayment of tuition.
Mar. 1, 2014
Last day community college students can apply for Summer 2014 Cooperative Program registration.
Mar. 2, 2014
Open enrollment for Summer-only Health Insurance begins. (Ends May 13, 2014.)
Open enrollment for Fall 2014-only and 2014-2015 Annual Health Insurance coverage begins. (Ends September 15, 2014.)

Mar. 10–14, 2014
Residence Halls close Mar. 8, 2014 at noon. Residence Halls reopen Mar. 16, 2014 at noon.

Registration for Summer and Fall 2014 begins.
Apr. 4, 2014
End of 12th week of classes.
Deadline for late drop with dean’s permission.
Apr. 11, 2014
Financial Aid Exit Interviews Deadline for all students with federal loans graduating, transferring, or taking less than six semester hours. Visit https://my.fsu.edu.
Apr. 14, 2014
Initial Manuscript Submission Deadline.
Apr. 21, 2014
Final Manuscript Submission, Defense, and Forms Deadline.
Apr. 25, 2014
Last Day of Classes.
Last day to submit ServScript hours online.
Last day to reduce course load, if permitted by the academic dean.
Last day to withdraw from the University.
Last day to apply for AA Certificate at the Office of Undergraduate Studies, UCA 3400.
Veterans’ Deferments Expire. Full tuition payment must be received to avoid a late payment fee.

Final Exam Week.
May 2, 2014
Semester Ends. Commencement: Civic Center, 7:30 p.m.
Last day to submit extensions for “incomplete” grades by 4:00 p.m.
May 3, 2014
Commencement: Civic Center, 9:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.
Diplomas dated this date.
Residence halls close at noon.
Some of the dates to note for graduating students are:
February 24th - SEVENTH WEEK DEADLINE
March 14th – Deadline to order cap and gown online—late orders go through bookstore w/ late fee
March 17th – First day to request extra ceremony tickets (2 extra, while available)
April 21st – May 1st -Cap and gown pick-up, 9:00am – 4:00pm, Location Rm 315 Oglesby Union
May 2nd & 3rd - Spring 2014 commencement ceremonies
2nd - 7:30 pm- Arts and Sciences, Human Sciences, Motion Picture Arts
3rd – 9:00 am- Applied Studies, CO, CR, EI, GS, SS, VA
3rd – 2:00 pm- BU, EDUCATION, MU, NR, SW
