To that end, here are our joint updates for the Fall 2026 semester covering our upcoming activities, contact information, and other specifics.

 Workshops & Research Consultations
As part of our offerings, IDHI is again offering in-class lectures and departmental workshops for instruction in specific digital tools. Last year we were very happy to provide 13 workshops serving almost 150 students and faculty ranging in topics from Data Visualization for our English graduate students to High-Performance Computing usage for our colleagues in Linguistics. These workshops are tailored to the needs and technical backgrounds of the students/faculty in each class, so feel free to ask for any technologies and/or topics that may be relevant. Digital Research Incubator
Join a 16-week program for FSU faculty, grad students, undergrads, and staff to learn Python for your research through FSU Libraries and IDHI. Learn coding fundamentals as a cohort during the fall semester and apply those skills to your own datasets during the spring semester. This program helps you learn and apply computational methods to further your research. No coding experience is required. Humanities scholars are especially encouraged to apply. Participants receive: $1,250 for travel, training, or software; one-on-one help from digital scholarship librarians; a cross-departmental cohort; a chance to learn coding to advance your research; and a showcase of your work in the spring.

Book and Long-form Scholarship: This fall, FSOP will open a call for book proposals from August 31 to October 30, 2026. FSOP welcomes proposals for academic monographs, edited collections, open textbooks, translations, and other scholarly works.
