End of semester announcements

Good afternoon Anthro People!

I have a few announcements that you should pay attention to.
Please make note of the dates and plan accordingly.

Elevator update – the elevator was still stopped on the first floor with doors open as of 3:30 pm Wednesday, May 1, 2024. We have multiple calls, emails, and work orders in trying to get this resolved before tomorrow’s GradFest. Stay tuned.

May 4-May 12, 2024 – Annual Steam Outage – campuswide. This means that building temps are not regulated during this time.

May 6, 2024 -  Carraway will be without power from 8:00 am -10:00 am. This is due to an electrical upgrade project taking place across campus. At 10:00 am the building will be run by a generator until Friday, May 10. Then on Friday the power will be off for a two hour block (time to be determined) while they switch the building back to the main power source.

Please – turn off all electronics, air purifiers, etc. before you leave for the weekend.
Please – work from home on Monday. The doors will be locked because they are on electric – until the power is back. The HVACs will all be offline for those two hours at least, but it may take time for them to cool the building down.
Please – work from home on Friday as well.

May 7, 2024 – all graduate assistant appointments end. No further work can be assigned to them after this date.

May 13 – June 3, 2024 – Woodward Parking Garage will be closed for maintenance.
