Colleagues:
COAS requests that we send (at least) one faculty member to the Spring 2024 graduation ceremony (Masters and Bachelors students) to serve as a Marshal. You can borrow the department's regalia if needed.
If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to Rochelle - she has served at every graduation for more years than I know.
Please let me and Malinda know if you are interested in doing this.
Best,
Tanya

Subject: Commencement Spring 2024
Dear Department Reps,
The Spring Commencement Ceremony for Arts and Sciences will be on Friday, May 3rd at 7:00pm in the Tucker Center. The Doctoral Hooding Ceremony will take place at a separate ceremony on the same day, but will not require marshals from the College.
The College has been asked for 4 faculty members to serve as marshals for the Commencement Ceremony. This semester, we are asking for marshals to represent the College from the Anthropology, Classics, Math, and Physics Departments. Marshals help students find their seats and lead students to the stage. Marshals are expected to arrive one hour prior to the start of the ceremony. Parking at the Tucker Center costs $10. Other options are described here:
https://registrar.fsu.edu/graduation/parking/
Justin Beck, Assistant Registrar, will provide additional instructions.
Please let me know by Thursday, March 28th which faculty member can take on this role and if they’d like to borrow regalia from our office.
Thanks!
