Dear Colleagues,

The Division of Student Affairs has informed me that the FSU community has suffered an especially tragic and sudden loss. An active member of her sorority, Alpha Chi Omega, who was well-known to many peers across campus, has passed away.

The Department of Student Support & Transitions has communicated with Alpha Chi Omega sorority members. We also anticipate that a significant number of additional students will be affected by this loss. They may not have this letter, but they should still warrant consideration.

I urge you to send this email to each of your faculty and undergraduate advisors as soon as possible and encourage them to accommodate requests for rescheduling exams or giving “Incomplete” grades during this difficult time.
