It seems fairly innocuous. If you?re ok with it, can Sheryl send it out to faculty? Aline From: Tracey Dowling Date: Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at 10:43 AM To: Aline Kalbian Subject: FW: Invitation for Faculty Survey on Preparing Students for Career Success Good Morning Dr. Kalbian, The below request seemed quite timely to ask for your support based on our conversation last Friday! If you feel that College of Arts & Sciences faculty would be interested in participating, I would love your help in promoting it. The National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), and the Society for Experiential Education (SEE)?s research collaboration seeks to better understand the experiences of faculty in helping students prepare for career success. Faculty do not have to teach an experiential learning/internship or a career readiness course to take the survey. It is truly a survey about faculty comfortability in connecting with students on career readiness. Survey should take less than 10 minutes to complete. If enough faculty respond from FSU, they will provide you with a free campus report of findings! Please do share if you feel appropriate. Much appreciation, Tracey Tracey E. Dowling, Ed.D. Program Director, Experiential Learning Florida State University Career Center Dunlap Success Center PO Box 3064162 100 S. Woodward Ave. Tallahassee, FL 32306 (850) 644-9774 tdowling at fsu.edu www.career.fsu.edu [image003.png] For the first time, the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), the American Association of Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), and the Society for Experiential Education (SEE) are collaborating on research to better understand the experiences of faculty in helping students prepare for career success. By benchmarking what faculty are already doing to prepare students for careers, NACE, AAC&U, and SEE will utilize findings from this research to continue to support faculty and institutional innovation. We ask that you share the opportunity to participate in this research by sharing the link to a short survey with faculty members at your institution. If enough people respond from your institution, we will provide you with a free campus report of findings. Please be sure to add your name and email at the end of the survey, if you would like to enter drawings for five (5) prizes of $100 Amazon gift cards. We will notify the winners in early January 2024. Confidentiality of the data: NACE, AAC&U and SEE will keep your responses confidential. Individual responses will be aggregated and summarized.
