Subject: CFA Career Liaison
Hello all!
I wanted to reach out and let you know, in case you haven’t heard already, that I’m currently serving as the interim Career Liaison for the College of Fine Arts, and am here to support you in helping our students become career ready. If you didn’t work with me before, I was the Career Liaison from 2021-2023, and interim 2023-2024, and am back as interim for now as the Career Center prepares for next steps in serving the College of Fine Arts.
To clarify what I can help with, here are some of my services:
* Student and Alumni Advising: Currently by appointment only, in person at the Dunlap Success Center or virtually, on any career-related topic (here’s where to send students to connect with me<https://nam04.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fcareer.fsu.edu%2Fabout-us%2Fcareer-liaisons&data=05%7C02%7Cart-mfastudio%40lists.fsu.edu%7C9a4424b384834fb80a2108dead0cde02%7Ca36450ebdb0642a78d1b026719f701e3%7C0%7C0%7C639138467925124048%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJFbXB0eU1hcGkiOnRydWUsIlYiOiIwLjAuMDAwMCIsIlAiOiJXaW4zMiIsIkFOIjoiTWFpbCIsIldUIjoyfQ%3D%3D%7C0%7C%7C%7C&sdata=5I9jqni%2FG7urhO0hTyGhAYIAGNq%2BUWKfqVlrljudLIM%3D&reserved=0>)
* Workshops, Panels, and Events on Career Topics: either hosted by the Career Center or I am happy to partner to support your events!
* Faculty and Staff Consultations: connect to explore ways to support career readiness for your students
* Alumni and Employer Consultations: helping support mentorship strategies and programming and employer recruitment to connect students to employment opportunities
Some programming I’m looking at over the course of the next year:
* Skills-based workshops and class presentations (resumes, job/internship search, applying to grad school, networking)
* Alumni and employer engagements (a CFA mentorship cohort, employer information sessions or skills-based workshops with employers)
* Continuing support for the Interior Design Career Fair
* And more!
As a large and diverse college of the performing arts, visual arts, humanities and numerous career paths for all, I want to emphasize that I’m here to support all the departments as a partner and I look forward to working with you. If you are here this summer, I would love to connect and learn how we can work together.
Best,
Anissa Ford (she/her)
