Mario Mutis was born in Bogot?, Colombia. He holds a BFA in Interdisciplinary Sculpture from The Maryland Institute College of Art, and an MFA in Ceramics from the University of Florida. Mutis has taught sculpture and ceramics at Santa Fe College since 2015, and was named the 2022 Professor of the Year by the AFC?s Faculty Commission. Mutis has also returned to Colombia every summer since 2012 to lead independent teaching lectures, and art demonstrations with his community, elementary and middle schools in Bogot? and Cundinamarca. He has participated in Residencies in the US and China and published the article Reappearing Practices in Studio Potter magazine in 2024.

SunYoung Park (b. 1990 South Korea) navigates the intersection of imagination and reality, using diverse materials to express contrasting surfaces, focusing on ceramics and mixed media. She earned her BFA and MFA from Hong-Ik University in Seoul and an MFA from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Park has exhibited nationally and internationally, participating in residencies at the Clayarch Gimhae Museum, Charlotte Street Foundation, and the Wassaic Project. Her work has been shown in prestigious exhibitions, including the Jingdezhen International Ceramic Art Biennale, the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art, and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art. She lives and works in Kansas City, MO.

Studio Technicians (Studio Techs) are responsible for supervising and supporting Residents during their use and navigation of the studios.


Studio Techs receive an honorarium of $1,500, room & board on campus, and limited travel costs are covered. Studio Techs must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and navigate the campus? many stairs and terrain comfortably.

Hi all,

The university is requiring a new process for cataloguing and tracking all hazardous materials. It's going to be a huge project but at this point we need help with the first stage. Any materials that you have outside your studio (ie: in the pods, in the shops, in any of the fire cabinets) need to be labeled with your name. This includes paints, aerosols, and anything else that could be considered hazardous. Please write your name and not  your initials since some materials that are hanging around are quite old and someone from a few years ago might have had your initials. ?

Please complete this by next Friday 3/28, so we can begin discarding materials that aren't labeled.

Experimental filmmaker Roger Beebe, whose films have shown around the globe from Sundance to the Museum of Modern Art and McMurdo Station in Antarctica to the CBS Jumbotron in Times Square, presents a program of multi-projector films at FSU! In his films, Beebe explores the possibilities of using multiple projectors?running as many as 8 projectors simultaneously?not for a free-form VJ-type experience, but for the creation of discrete works of ?expanded cinema.? The show builds from the two-projector films ?The Strip Mall Trilogy? and ?TB TX DANCE? to more elaborate three-projector meditation on Las Vegas, ?Money Changes Everything,? and the eight-projector meditation on the mysteries of space ?Last Light of a Dying Star.?

My name is Geeta Kohli Tewari, and I am an Associate Professor of Law at Widener University Delaware Law School.? In my time as a law professor, I have completed a multitude of interdisciplinary research and writing focusing predominantly on literature, law, and justice. In addition to my law degree, I hold an MFA in Writing from Columbia University School of the Arts, and my fiction and poetry has appeared in /Granta/, /The Southern Review/, and other prominent literary magazines.?

I am writing to ask if you could share my new literary magazine,/?Justice Reads/, with your student body and alumni as an invitation for submission of their literary work. We publish fiction, creative nonfiction, and poetry that engage with themes of social justice and feminist thought.? Our goal is to foster conversations about justice while creating a space where individuals can use storytelling as a tool for change.? In other words, we hope to elevate diverse perspectives and provide a platform for writers to explore justice through their art?whether through personal narratives, social commentary, or creative storytelling.

/Justice Reads/?is a member of the Community of Literary Magazines and Publishers, and is rooted in the Narrative Justice Project, fiscally sponsored by the New York Foundation for the Arts.
