Dear Graduate Program Directors and advisors,

Please share the following last minute elective opportunity with your graduate students for this Fall:

*History of Innovation in the Arts (ARE5645)*

This online, asynchronous course explores how artistic innovation has shaped cultural, social, and technological change across time. Students will study major moments when artists challenged conventions, experimented with new forms, and redefined what art could be, connecting those histories to the ways innovation continues to drive the arts today.

The course was developed in collaboration with the new Creative Entrepreneurship master’s program in The Jim Moran College of Entrepreneurship* *but is taught by faculty in the CFA.  This makes it especially valuable for students who are interested in linking their studio, research, or professional practice with broader conversations about innovation and leadership in the arts.

Because the course runs fully online and asynchronously, it does not require students to attend at a set time each week, offering flexibility with studio and research schedules.
