Hi all,
Below is a recap from today's meeting. Please read through everything and let me know if you have any questions.
News and Reminders
* Chase is on leave and Judy is retiring at the end of this semester.
* A reminder that written content and time-based work need to be sent to the reviewers 1 week in advance of a formal review.
* Install rooms are now available to be reserved for reviews. Email Tenee. If you're not subscribed to the Google calendar that shows the room availability, let Tenee know.
* Work schedules:
*
GA contract dates: 1/1/24 - 5/3/24
*
GTA Dates: 1/1/24 - 5/7/24
*
The work week is Friday - Thursday (according to Tori and HR)
CAB
*
NASAD review is happening in February. The chair and the dean are constantly reminding us that everything has to look clean and cared for. Please reign in anything that is spilling out from your studio, keep shared spaces clean and organized (including outdoors), etc.
*
NO FOOD storage or preparation at CAB except for in the MFA lounge. Please clean up any messes immediately so we don't end up with pest/rodent problems.
*
This wasn't mentioned in the meeting, but we're going with the following rule: If your name is not on an article of food in the refrigerator, it may be thrown away. This gives people the ability to throw away food that looks like it's been there too long. Please keep track of your own food, if possible, however. It's no one else's responsibility to keep the kitchen clean and free of old food (not April's, not the cleaning staff)
*
Remember that there is a link for submitting anonymous feedback to me and Tenee: https://fla.st/7LPFLFYB . Tenee will be printing QR codes for the MFA lounge and the fishbowl door.
*
Fill out the CAB Usage Survey if you haven't already: https://fsu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_6yDWXw7kdQZTbT0
Important Changes
*
The process for taking an undergraduate class is that you will need to fill out the attached form, have the instructor fill out their part and sign, then bring the form to Tenee during the registration window. Since faculty approved this after Spring registration, this will technically start in Fall, but I would appreciate it if you could go through this process for any Spring UG classes that you are already enrolled it. It will get faculty used to the process and help us figure out where the hiccups are. Submit the forms to Tenee once you and the instructor have completed and signed it.
Action Items
* Tenee is going to print and post the QR codes and a sign for the refrigerator with the new policy
* Audrey is going to update Rob on the progress of the NASAD WMC show. Rob will pass that info on to Jeff.
* Rob is going to let Jeff know about the need to have a way of paging/communicating with the security guard when they are away from the front desk!
* Rob is going to make sure that Jeff knows about kiln candling as one of the times that CAB usage shifts.
* Rob is going to ask Jeff to tell the dean that students would appreciate more notice when parking is affected at CAB (so they can decide whether to come in or not on that day).
Thank you all!! And let me know if I missed anything or if you have any questions!
