Hey!

If you are thinking about bicycling instead of driving, take a look at this rental program below. There is also a non-profit called Bicycle House in town that will give you a bike. But you would still need a helmet and lock, so this Sustainable Campus option could be worth paying for. FYI Bicycle House will also help with repairs/maintenance, but it's sometimes hard to catch them at the right hours. Either way, don't ride without a helmet! ☠️

reCycle Bike is a bicycle rental program offering affordable transportation and educational events for students. The complete rental package includes a refurbished bicycle, lock, helmet, basic repairs, and safety training.

 If you have ever felt worried about finding parking before class, using a bike allows you to avoid that wasted time and park right in front of your building! Campus Wide Water Refill Data Collection
The intention behind this project was to start the benchmark standard of data across all the water bottle refill stations since their installation. As the stations were installed, each station started with a digital count of zero water bottles, the filter status was green, and the machines were clean. Through this process, multiple vital pieces of information were to be collected such as the status of the water bottle station, if repairs are needed, the opportunity for more stations within a building, and ultimately the number of water bottles saved from landfill. Intro to Green Office Program
Course number: PDGOP1
The Introduction to the  Green  Office Program course is designed to empower participants to take part in FSU's  Green  Office  Program.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to Define sustainability, Describe ways the  Green  Office  program contributes to FSU's sustainability goals, Use the  Green  Office checklist to evaluate their office's contribution to sustainability, and Identify campus resources that are available to enhance  office  sustainability.

The session is interactive, involving personal reflection, group exercises, and hands-on practice with the Green Office checklist.
