CAB Students,

The Carnaghi Arts Building (CAB) can be a great place to explore and expand your creativity. But learning only takes place when we are safe and feel safe. So we want to remind you of the steps you can take at CAB to protect yourself and your peers.

Please Swipe In.
All students authorized to use CAB facilities have swipe card access. Please use your own FSU ID to swipe in and never allow anyone else to use your ID – for anything.

Close the Door After You Enter.
Resist the temptation to hold the door open for anyone after you leave (that isn’t rude, it is just smart). Make sure the door latches when it closes. When everyone individually swipes in we have an accurate record of everyone who is in the building. And it excludes non-authorized individuals.

Never Prop Any Door Open.
Propped doors can allow unauthorized individuals to enter the building. That isn’t good.

Monitor Your Guests.
If you have guests visiting CAB, please stay with them for the duration of their time in the facility. And always make sure they leave with you.

Security Professionals.
CAB has security personnel on site until 1AM. If you notice anything that you believe is posing a hazard to you or anyone else, please contact the CAB security personnel. And if they are not available, please call the FSU police (850-644-1234). Remember, see something – say something.

Remember, CAB is only as safe as we make it. So please make sure you adhere to our safety protocols.

Thanks.
