Dear all,
I'm just writing with a quick note regarding the FAB LAB in the Fine Arts Building.
Please see below for important information about booking the lab and utilizing FAB LAB machines.
Thank you for your attention to this email - please email with questions as they arise.

MID-TERM SPRING 2021
The Fab Lab is open by appointment, limiting the lab to one student and one staff member in the space at any time. Appointments will be limited to two-hour time blocks with a cleaning period between visits.
The current availability in the lab is as follows:
Beginning 02/18/2021 - Ending 04/23/2021
Monday (student request only)
12:00 - 14:00 / 12:00 PM - 02:00 PM
14:00 - 16:00 / 02:00 PM - 04:00 PM
Thursday (student request only)
12:00 - 14:00 / 12:00 PM - 02:00 PM
15:00 - 17:00 / 03:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Friday (instructor request only)
Live / Group Zoom Demonstration and Training Hours
14:00 - 17:00 / 02:00 PM - 05:00 PM
Saturday (student request only)
10:00 - 14:00 / 10:00 AM - 02:00 PM
Request appointments 24 hours in advance by contacting CDRIVER at fsu.edu
Faculty, Teaching Academics, Instructors, Staff, with demonstration and training certification, contact CDRIVER at fsu.edu for lab access/appointments outside of ’student request only’ hours.
Appointments should be booked through labs.art.fsu.edu/calendar, please do not overbook the Fab Lab as we are strictly following FSU Staying Healthy guidelines and safety remains a concern for all of us in the Department of Art.

Digital Media Fab Lab Cleaning Guidance
Please sanitize BEFORE and AFTER contacting Lab surfaces, computers, machines, devices, and equipment.
□ Swipe the ID card to unlock the lab door, open, and enter.
□ Immediately, find the sanitizing wipes, alcohol pads, all-purpose cleaner and gloves on the center table.
□ Sanitize and clean anything and everything that is willed to touch with sanitizing wipes and alcohol pads: light/exhaust switches, handles, touchpads, PC keyboards*, mice, screens, power buttons, switches, machine interfaces, tabletops, chairs, stools, levers, tools, materials, etc.
*Apple devices, keyboards, and power switches are to be sanitized with alcohol.
□ Utilize the lab for the needs necessary.
□ Upon completion, clean up, shut down computers, and equipment.
□ Sanitize everything touched, including light switches and door handles.
□ Secure the door shut.
□ After cleaning and disinfection, properly dispose of any wipes or cleaning supplies in waste containers, and wash hands with soap and water for a least 20 seconds.
Note: When entering, leaving, and traveling within any FSU building, limit contact with commonly touched surfaces, i.e. door handles, bathroom stalls, railings, etc. Always consider carrying a hand sanitizer/method for disinfecting.
