We know this is close to the end of the semester, but this is an important talk because Robert is solely supporting himself on his digital artwork through the creation and sales of NFT's. We hope you will join us and meet one more alumni that is guaranteed to challenge your thoughts on the future of art. Bio Peenpoon aka Robert Blake, Tallahassee native, holds a BS in Art from Florida State University class of 2018. He is a full-time maker of digital art who is thriving in the new art market for NFT?s. Guided by the personal mantra technology + expression = freedom, Blake seeks to express both deeply personal and existential human narratives through the use of Blender, a free, open-source 3d software. ?By creating representations of goddesses in esoteric heaven and hell-like spaces, I can process different ideologies and philosophies that otherwise feel much bigger than me.? ~ RB To see more work by the artist: www.peenpoon.com https://twitter.com/peenpoontweets https://www.instagram.com/peenpoon/ NFTs: https://superrare.co/peenpoon https://www.hicetnunc.xyz/tz/tz1MtNRqYqUbXUNgkHvmnnoGX6LtzqX6gfnf -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Here are some updates regarding new details about library services this summer, including some dates. These updates impacts Students and Faculty. The Library is moving to a new catalogue and there?s a few other bits of info here that everyone may want to know as well. Best! Cosmo Below are the details provided by Leah Sherman- Visual & Performing Arts Librarian ------------------------------------------- Hi all, I?m writing with more details about library services for this summer: * We have launched a website with the most important information about the transition to our new library catalogue: https://www.lib.fsu.edu/catalog-and-discovery-upgrades * The big dates to keep in mind are May 1st, May 7th and July 13th * May 1st: UBorrow services will be temporarily suspended from May 1st to July 13th. Most library spaces, including the stacks in Strozier and Dirac, will reopen for patron use. * July 13th: The new and improve catalogue will be live! UBorrow will resume. Some catalogue links will change in the new system (important FYI for those of you embedding direct links to e-books and journals in your courses). * May 7th: The expanded access to Hathi will end and books previously reserved during this service will return to circulation. * LEDS will definitely resume for the fall 2021 semester. Depending on departmental repopulation this summer LEDS could return sooner (stay tuned). In the meantime Curbside Delivery continues and you can still request scans via the LEDS form. * InterLibrary Loan (ILL) is developing a plan to begin processing new requests for physical materials in May. (Please note: This is not a guarantee and is still pending final approval.) * UBorrow items that are due on or after May 1 will not be able to be renewed as part of our transition to the state-wide catalogue upgrade. * Library space will continue to follow CDC guidelines and campus directives. * Physical reserves remain suspended until further notice but E-Reserves continue as they currently are. Let me know if you?ve got any questions, and as I find out more I?ll be in touch! Best, Leah -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
