Hi Everyone,

As part of the Vancouver Art Book Fair's, Art Book Month, two of our former Grads, Lucia Riffel (2018) and Eric Pederson (2018),  will be holding a Virtual Artist Talk and Q & A on October 15th @ 7PM via Zoom. This is a great opportunity to see what two of our alumni are doing since graduating a few years ago!

Drum Machine Editions presents BEHIND THE MACHINE: Virtual Artist Talk and Q&A with Lucia Riffel and Erik Pedersen. Via Zoom, Riffel and Pedersen will discuss the challenges of translating Riffel’s rich & moody digital animations to a series of three small-format, one-color flipbooks on medium-quality paper from Staples. Learn about the earliest days of Drum Machine Editions and its never-ending first project, HANDHELD GETAWAYS.

Riffel will also give a brief artist talk—outlining her obsessions with the space between our minds and our screens and the inspiration she takes from mindless scrolling—followed by a Q&A.
