Hello All,
I hope that this message finds you doing well and having had a wonderful week so far! I just wanted to reach out in regards to our Prospective MFA Visit [PMV] event this week. This event will span over a three day period, we start off our PMV event on the evening of March 5th with our visiting artist lecture, Frances Gallardo. The informational sessions and tours are scheduled the next day, from 9am-3pm on Friday, March 6th. We will be hosting lunch (12:00pm) at CAB as usual on that day, where you all are invited and strongly encouraged to attend this social gathering with the faculty and prospectives. There will also be a happy hour gathering at PROOF Brewery at 4:30pm followed by a First Friday Art Walk/Crawl in Railroad Square. The following morning (March 7th), we will be taking a boat tour of Wakulla Springs, home of the world’s largest and deepest freshwater springs. Please know that this Wakulla trip is not a paid excursion for all current grads - only current grads who have volunteered to host the prospectives will be paid for.
With all that being said, this year we have 9 prospectives coming - along with a few partners, friends, and/or family members. I have gone ahead and attached the PMV Schedule (with encouraged activities highlighted in yellow) to this email for your viewing convenience. You are more than welcome to attend any of the social gatherings and, honestly, the more that you are present during the event - the better - as you guys are the true highlight of this program!!! With this idea in mind, if you want to be in your studio during our allotted CAB tour time - that would be stellar! If not, that is totally fine as well. If you are okay with prospectives checking out your studio space without you being present - please indicate this by leaving your studio curtain open. Otherwise a closed curtain will signal to me that you do not want your space seen.
Also, I will be at CAB tomorrow (Wednesday) afternoon trying to tidy up the shops and lounge. If anyone would like to help me I would greatly appreciate it. Hoping for some 'Dream Team' action and 80's high-fives!!! As always, if you have any questions or concerns about this event or clean-up please do not hesitate to reach out.
Take care,
Tenee'
